Bob Shaw: Minnesota Newspaper Association Manager Emeritus

Bob Shaw, currently of Edina, first experienced journalism as editor of his high school newspaper in International Falls, Minnesota.

After World War II, Shaw worked for Stars and Stripes, and held a string of newspaper jobs, including for the Associated Press in Minneapolis. After leaving the university, Shaw accepted a position as associate professor at the University of Washington.

He then took a job as manager of the Minnesota Newspaper Association. Since his retirement, Shaw has remained active in the association, and has been a dedicated crusader for press freedom and government transparency.
